Andrea Warren

Andrea Warren was born in Durham, North Carolina. She has always loved mixed media art but when her friend introduced her to fused art over twenty years ago, this is when the Pandora’s box was opened to many possibilities of creating fused glass art pieces. Andrea is a self taught artist whose art explores the collision of various colors of glass and how it reacts together. She is fascinated with using repetitive patterns as a skeleton that organizes the composition. Andrea also often uses a combination of complex techniques and opposing patterns to create a dramatic effect that compels a second look. With many hours spent cutting, fusing, annealing and molding glass to final shape, she builds an intimacy between the original inspiration and the unique piece of operative art.

Andrea resides with her husband in Maple City, Michigan.
