Kirsten Koza

Kirsten Koza’s artistic journey is a vivid expression of a life lived with passion, creativity, and resilience. From an early age, Kirsten was captivated by art, finding joy in the simple pleasures of coloring, painting, and pressing flowers. These early experiences planted the seeds for a lifelong connection to creativity.

Throughout her life, Kirsten has worn many hats – explorer, writer, mother – each role adding depth to her artistic vision. Growing up as a military child, her formative years were spent absorbing the rich landscapes and cultures of places like the Florida Panhandle. These experiences, along with her professional journey in public relations and her deep connection to family and faith, have profoundly influenced her work.

Kirsten’s art is not just about painting; it is about translating the nuances and emotions of life onto canvas. Her pieces, characterized by loose, fresh strokes and vivid colors, capture the beauty in everyday moments and the simplicity of life. Following the heartbreaking loss of her two-year-old daughter, Kirsten found solace in her art, channeling her grief into discovering the unexpected beauty around her. Her works often reflect themes of hope, love, and faith, creating a visual narrative that is both uplifting and deeply personal.

In her home studio, Kirsten paints with an intensity that mirrors the complexity of life itself. Her use of palette knives to create layers and textures adds a tactile dimension to her work, making each piece a sensory experience. Often, her first layers are imbued with prayers, sending peace and positivity into the world.

Kirsten’s art has been showcased in galleries and stores across Massachusetts, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. Through her “Palette with a Purpose” initiative, she donates a portion of her proceeds to community programs that enrich the lives of children, demonstrating her belief in art’s power to inspire and heal.

Whether through an abstract angel, a lone barn, or a cheerful bouquet of flowers, Kirsten’s work invites viewers to explore the magical kaleidoscope of life, offering glimpses of hope and beauty in an often dark and broken world.

Kirsten currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia but considers Tennessee, where she raised her kids, her home.
